Orientation: What to expect
Upon our receipt of your study orders
from your physician, we will verify your health insurance for an outpatient
sleep study (polysomnogram). All patients are treated on an in-network basis,
even if we are not contracted providers with your insurance carrier. You will
be contacted to schedule an appointment.
During this time, allow us to answer any
questions you have concerning your overnight stay.
Your physician’s
office will receive a faxed confirmation of your selected study date. You will then need to call their office
to schedule a follow-up appointment for two weeks after your sleep study. If
you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us immediately!
Please arrive at your
scheduled appointment time . There is no staff in the lab prior
to
We require that you
give at least 24 hours notice prior to any schedule changes, so that we may
attempt to fill the opening. Failure to give notice may result in a $25.00 "no-show" and/or rescheduling fee.
Helpful information,
along with several forms and questionnaires, are downloadable from the right
column on this Web site, and are enclosed in your new patient package. To
ensure a successful study, please read
everything very carefully.
All of your completed paperwork should be given
to your technician upon arrival to our lab. These forms, along with a detailed
account of your stay, will help your doctor determine a diagnosis and treatment
that is best for you. If you have any questions, please call anytime.
We look
forward to performing your sleep study very soon!
